October 16-18, 2026
REST: As a Jesus mom of children of any age, we all need rest. Granted some of us more than others! The Raising Kids on Your Knees Women’s Rest, Refresh, Renew Retreat is designed to give you a weekend where you can rest. Rest from the daily routine, the endless nights awake and the early duty calls in the morning. Our team is ready to pamper you! We have arranged our itinerary with you in mind. Sessions start a little later than usual so you can sleep in. Saturday afternoon is just for you. We are excited to host next year’s retreat in NEPA (Northeastern PA) and all it has to offer. Visit the Steamtown National Historic Site, check out the Market Place at Steamtown, where you can see the “Welcome to Scranton” sign from The Office, hike to Choke Falls, and hike the Pinchot Trail. We will be staying right in the city of Scranton, so many things are within walking distance. If you want to stay onsite during your stay, there is a gym and indoor pool with gathering areas to hang out with other moms. Starbucks is in the lobby together with a hotel restaurant.
REFRESH: Sometimes, all it takes is time away with our girlfriends to help us feel refreshed. We want you to leave the weekend feeling refreshed in your soul by spending time with your Sisters in Christ. God created us with a desire for a relationship with one another that He won’t fill with Himself. As Jesus moms, we bear the image of Christ in healthy relationships. You will also have the opportunity to stay connected as Prayer Partners through the Raising Kids on Your Knees Prayer Tribe, and you’ll be building your own Tribe of Moms to help encourage, pray, and lift you up throughout the year.
RENEW: Let’s face it, time in the Word and prayer are hard to come by and especially while your children are little. We have sessions that will challenge you to build a strong Biblical foundation to stand on as you spiritually parent your children. Come and renew your mind in the Word as we spend time together growing in our faith.
Speakers
Tina Smith is your host for the weekend. Tina is the Director and Founder of Raising Kids on Your Knees. She and her husband, Rod, have four adult children and 4 grandchildren. They believe strongly in the power of prayer over your family, walking under the lordship of Jesus Christ, knowing your identity in Christ, and fighting for your family through spiritual warfare.
Rod and Tina live in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
Sharon Tedford is a gifted worship leader, singer song-writer and we are delighted that she will be back for this retreat. Sharon has hosted the award-winning podcast God in the Ordinary where she interviews ordinary people who do ordinary things that reveal Jesus to others.
Sharon is from the Dallas, Texas, area but you will quickly realize from her accent that is not where she is originally from. Sharon is originally from England and we are blessed to have her here as a new U. S. citizen! You will be blessed as Sharon leads us to the throne of grace in worship as well as her teaching.
